1000R Rig
The Bourne 1000R Rig is a
kelly drive rig mounted on a 6x6 truck. The rig is capable of drilling to a
depth of 300 meters in HQ size in either open or core hole (however coring
beyond 200 meters is generally not recommended due to the time taken to pull the
rods and retrieve the core sample).
The Bourne drill is capable
of drilling up to 200 meters per day in open hole or 15 meters of core.
The rig is best utilized for deep
exploration drilling or mine development work. This type of rig is highly
mobile in flat to moderate terrain, however it does require the assistance of
a bulldozer for access roads and drill pad construction. The rig also
generally requires the assistance of one water truck for water haulage.
