Rig AD350 - Man Portable
The Man Portable AD350 Rig is
a multi purpose top head drive rig, which can be used for open hole or wireline
diamond drilling in PQ, HQ, NQ or BQ size. This drill has been set up to drill
angle holes between 45 and 90 degrees for mineral and coal exploration work.
This rig can be modified to
drill horizontal drillholes for applications such as mine wall drainage and
depressurization. The rig can drill to depths of 120 meters in PQ, 300 meters in
HQ and 425 meters in NQ size core.
The rig typically achieves
20-25 meters per shift for core drilling and 70-80 meters per shift for open
hole drilling.
The rig is used for open
hole, spot coring or fully cored holes, where geotechnical samples and coal
samples are required, or in special application such as angle holes or
horizontal drilling. The rig is a man portable but can be hauled around on a
skid if the topography allows. This rig is ideal where a minimum environmental
impact and small footprint is required.
